Volunteer Spotlight

Raymond Weaver

Ray has volunteered with us several times helping us implement our Classroom Solutions Program. He always comes in with a smile on his face and willingness to work. It was a great pleasure to work with Ray and we look forward to continuing our relationship with him.

Ray is 16 years old and currently attends Stivers School for the Arts. There he enjoys singing, piano and dance classes. In dance, he focuses on tap, ballet, modern, and hip hop. Among his other interests, Ray enjoys hanging out with friends and giving back to the community. Ray also volunteers at his local nursing home, Goodwill’s Car Seat Program and Radio Reading Service, and Children’s Hunger Alliance. He has been inspired by a friend who is very involved in the community and he would like to use this inspiration to start his own foundation, Make the Change, to give back to the community. As far as college goals for Ray, he would love to attend The Ohio State University with a major in psychiatry and minor in broadcasting journalism.

With so much kindness, drive and potential, we know Ray will accomplish great things in his life. We wish him the best of luck in all of his future endeavors.
